July 9, 2026: Minor Hotels is celebrating one of its strongest performances to date in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2026, with Anantara Hotels & Resorts achieving its highest-ever ranking among the world’s best hotel brands, and four of the group’s properties named among the 100 Best Hotels in the World.
Published annually and based on a global readers’ survey, the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards are a trusted barometer of the places and companies that resonate most with passionate, discerning travelers. This year, they named Anantara Hotels & Resorts one of the Top 5 Best Hotel Brands in the World, rising to No. 5 from No. 8 last year, as the brand continues to strengthen its position in experiential luxury hospitality.
Minor Hotels’ global standing was further strengthened by the inclusion of four properties in the 100 Best Hotels in the World, up from three last year.
“To see Anantara recognized among the world’s Top 5 hotel brands, and four of our properties included in the World’s Top 100 Hotels, is a strong endorsement of the guest experiences our teams deliver every day,” said Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International, parent company of Minor Hotels. “These results reflect the strength of our brands and our continued focus on delivering meaningful experiences for travelers around the world.”
Two elevated safari lodges in Tanzania led Minor Hotels’ performance in the Top 100 rankings. The refined country‑house retreat Elewana The Manor at Ngorongoro placed at No. 14, while luxury tented camp Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp came in at No. 21, both offering immersive wildlife encounters and dramatic landscapes.
In Minor Hotels’ home base of Thailand, Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, renowned for its award‑winning ethical elephant experiences, landed at No. 37, while Anantara Layan Phuket Resort, a tranquil beachfront wellness retreat on Phuket’s northwest coast, secured the No. 81 spot.
Minor Hotels continued to shine across regional categories. In Asia, Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort was named No. 2 Best Resort in Thailand and No. 13 Best Resort in Asia, while Anantara Layan Phuket Resort secured No. 4 Best Resort in Thailand.
