Avani+ Fares Maldives Debuts Sunset Cocktail Service Aboard a Traditional Maldivian Boat
The Maldives, January 9, 2025: Avani+ Fares Maldives, recently voted Best Dive Resort 2024 by Travel Trade Maldives, invites guests to experience island life with the Ambaa Adventure. This first-of-its-kind service features a traditional Maldivian dhoni sailing across the turquoise waters of Fares to deliver handcrafted cocktails directly to guests’ private overwater pool decks.
Taking its name from the local Dhivehi word for ‘cheers,’ Ambaa is a joyful toast to life, connection and memorable moments. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, guests staying in one of the resort’s Over Water Villas or exclusive two- and three-bedroom Sunset Over Water Pool Residences can gaze toward the horizon for the yellow sail of the Ambaa boat gliding across the turquoise lagoon. Designed in the style of a traditional Maldivian dhoni, once used for fishing and island transport, the vessel celebrates local heritage with a contemporary twist.
As the floating bar circles the island, guests can signal the captain for their sundowner by raising the exclusive Ambaa flag from their private deck. Once docked, the onboard bartender crafts complimentary cocktails or mocktails, infused with vibrant flavors that mirror the beauty of the Maldivian reef.
