The updated selection of blissful experiences includes indulgent treatments by ELEMIS, a bespoke couple’s massage by La Selva di Positano infused with Amalfi citrus, and a signature experience that embodies Anantara’s deep-rooted philosophy of warm-hearted service.
Set in a 13th-century Capuchin convent, perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, Anantara Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi is a monastic retreat with facilities and experiences that immerse guests in “Convent Life,” from luxurious rooms set in monks’ quarters and exquisite dishes made with ingredients grown in the convent garden, to rejuvenating wellness experiences.
In the heart of the hotel grounds, Anantara Spa is a 1,345-square-foot travertine-clad sanctuary with a hammam, sauna, steam room, and relaxation areas with views of the sea. In its new menu, the wellness center focuses on experiences that reinforce the brand’s commitment to quality products and a connection to its territory, both in Amalfi and in Thailand.
Anantara Spa at Anantara Convento di Amalfi is introducing ELEMIS body and facial treatments, representing the global British skincare brand’s first presence in Italy. The brand boasts over 35 years of research and development and a holistic, sustainable approach that aligns with Anantara’s commitment to the planet and its biodiversity. ELEMIS’ award-winning formulas, made with active natural ingredients and cutting-edge technology, feature in a selection of new offerings on the menu in Amalfi. Body treatments include a cleansing salt scrub to encourage skin regeneration, and a frangipani wrap, which combines mood-balancing aromatics and skin-conditioning oils. Three new facials promise visible results: “Renew” reduces fine lines and wrinkles for a hydrated, lifted, and firm look; “Reveal” uses Tri-Enzyme technology to minimize pores and uneven skin texture; and “Define” delivers energized, rejuvenated, and sculpted skin.
Also, among the new facial options is “La Selva di Positano Refresh” – a tailored treatment that harnesses the natural power of the region using products by locally based beauty brand La Selva di Positano, which shares Anantara’s focus on ethical and sustainable practices, crafting cosmetics and skincare products from regional botanicals. The new facial at Anantara Spa is enriched with orange oil – a treasure of Mediterranean beauty, aromatherapy, and healing, beloved for its revitalizing and purifying properties – and includes a calming Gua Sha massage using rose quartz.
The local brand and its Amalfi citrus products are also the inspiration for one of the new menu’s most indulgent highlights, designed especially for couples. The Yellow Experience by La Selva di Positano takes place on an al fresco terrace in a private cabana for two. Here, skilled therapists administer a relaxing side-by-side massage with La Selva di Positano lemon oil, renowned for its refreshing and revitalizing properties. The experience continues with a facial massage featuring delicate, calming and skin-nourishing orange blossom oil. Relaxed and recharged, couples conclude their journey of serenity and romance with refreshing drinks overlooking stunning sea vistas.
The final touch to the new menu is a signature experience that references Anantara’s Thai roots. The “Rejuvenating Journey” is inspired by Anantara’s philosophy of Nam Jai, which embodies the heartfelt service, gentle care and sincere kindness for which the brand and its home country are known. The treatment begins with a soothing, frangipani- and hibiscus-infused foot cleanse – a time-honored Thai practice symbolizing a fresh start and the release of negative energy. Next, a relaxing, restorative massage is tailored with a choice of oils – monoi and coconut, rosemary and pine, or orange and fennel – to nourish the skin and promote a sense of calm. The journey concludes with a revitalizing, hydrating facial.
